Tango rules

How to play Tango

Tango is a logic puzzle on a 6×6 grid. You fill every cell with a sun or a moon using four simple rules. You never need to guess: every puzzle here has exactly one solution.

  1. 1. Fill every cell with a sun or a moon

Tap an empty cell once for a sun, twice for a moon and a third time to empty it again. Cells that start filled are fixed clues and cannot change.

  2. 2. Three suns and three moons in every row and column

Each row and each column of the 6×6 board holds exactly three suns and three moons. Not fewer and not more.

  3. 3. No more than two of the same symbol next to each other

Three suns or three moons in a line, across or down, is not allowed. Two in a row is fine. The board turns red when you break this rule.

  4. 4. Follow the = and × clues

Two cells joined by = must hold the same symbol. Two cells joined by × must hold different symbols.
